Concept

These modular triangular elements are attractive to children and teenagers in ways of creative fun. They can be rearranged and connected in many ways, being highly adaptive to the continuously need for the change in children and teenagers everyday lives. The added values in 'Grow Module' are also bound to practical use such as storage and shelving.

This was a individual project and and most of the work was taking place in a wood workshop. The project was part of a course arranged by the department of Industrial Design at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada.

Background

Children quickly outgrow their products/articles in the early years of age. This is a problem for parents as the purchaser. Toys and articles, including furniture, often last for no more than 1-3 years before they are thrown out and replaced.
