Concept and debate
This project exemplifies the need for filtering and creating diversions away from the strong influence the modern technology and mass media have on the family community. The family members in the industrialized part of our world tend to reach for their own individual, unachievable dreams created by the commercialized media, instead of focusing on each other.
A video collage was made in order to communicate the context and problem issues we were dealing with through our discussions in the project. The video does not explain all of the concepts that was discussed. (23 MB MPEG movie).

Background
Parents are redefining their roles dramatically in modern nations to keep pace with the machine-heart of capitalism. A typical consequence of spending more time at an office, on business travel, or in increasingly long commutes. On the other extreme children are gravitating to new ways of entertainment that are increasingly immaterial and less interpersonal. In this way the resilience of a family clan erodes, arguably a loss for both parents and children in the long run.
